Captain Sotiris brings more than 15 years of command experience and a lifetime at sea. A graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Greece and holder of a Master's Certificate with Navy War Academy training, he has captained an impressive fleet of yachts ranging from 30m to 43m, expertly leading both private and charter operations throughout Greece and the Mediterranean.

His extensive seagoing career also includes command and senior officer roles aboard the 56m M/Y Harmony G-V, navigating the Mediterranean, Atlantic, West Africa and Cape Verde. Renowned for his calm leadership, exceptional ship-handling skills and unwavering commitment to safety and service,

First Officer

With years of experience aboard some of the Mediterranean's most distinguished superyachts, including vessels up to 147 metres, he combines meticulous voyage planning with an instinctive understanding of life at sea. From secluded anchorages to complex itineraries, Nicholas ensures every detail unfolds effortlessly behind the scenes.

Respected for his calm leadership and unwavering professionalism, he works seamlessly alongside Captain Sotiris to deliver safe, smooth cruising while creating the freedom for guests to simply relax and enjoy every moment aboard M/Y Amaryllis.

George Manolakakis

Second Officer

For Second Officer George, every successful voyage is built on preparation, precision and a genuine passion for the sea. Having developed his career aboard some of the Mediterranean's most active superyachts, he combines Merchant Marine Academy training with hands-on experience in navigation, watchkeeping, tender operations and safety management, ensuring every journey unfolds smoothly.

His career began aboard the M/Y Serenity (73m) as Ordinary Seaman, working closely with the deck team across the Aegean and Red Sea, before joining the M/Y Chakra (86m) for the 2021 season. He continued aboard the M/Y Omnia (59m) during the 2022 shipyard period in Perama, gaining valuable refit and maintenance exposure, before returning to M/Y Chakra in 2023, where he progressed into the role of Apprentice Officer and gained extensive bridge, navigation, watchkeeping, and tender experience. Skilled in chart and book corrections, anchoring, ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, and ISGOTT compliance, deck maintenance, tender operations, and gas atmosphere and ballast monitoring, certified across the full safety suite alongside Ship Security Awareness and Training of Passenger Ships. Georgios brings discipline, structured training, and a genuine commitment to professional progression to the M/Y Amaryllis bridge team, supporting Captain Sotirios and Chief Officer Nikolaos across every watch and itinerary.

Leonidas Vakondios

Engineer

Beneath the elegance of M/Y Amaryllis lies an engineering operation where every detail matters, and First Engineer Leonidas ensures it performs flawlessly! With a Chief Engineer Class A' license and a career spanning both high-speed passenger vessels and luxury yachting, he brings exceptional technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a calm, methodical approach to every challenge.

Working quietly behind the scenes, Leonidas oversees the yacht's propulsion, engineering, and technical systems, ensuring guests enjoy the comfort of effortless cruising without ever noticing the complexity that makes it possible. His commitment to reliability, safety, and excellence allows every journey aboard M/Y Amaryllis to unfold with complete confidence.

His earlier career was built across Golden Star Ferries and other high-speed passenger operations in Greece, where he progressed from Third Engineer to First Engineer over more than a decade of demanding service, developing deep technical command of SEMT-Pielstick V16 and MTU 396, 4000, and 2000 16V propulsion systems. Holder of a comprehensive certification suite including high-voltage installation training, engine room simulator certification, and Ship Security Officer credentials, Leonidas combines the precision of large-vessel engineering with the calm, hands-on reliability the engine room of a superyacht demands.

Second Engineer

Lavrentis is an experienced Second Engineer with a strong foundation in marine engineering, planned maintenance, and technical troubleshooting. Having served aboard both commercial vessels and the private M/Y Christina V, he brings extensive hands-on knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Safety-focused and highly dependable, Lavrentis plays a key role in maintaining the flawless operation of M/Y Amaryllis, ensuring every voyage runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)

Ioannis has a strong background in electrical engineering, automation, and marine communication systems. After many years in commercial shipping and industrial engineering, he transitioned into yachting aboard the legendary M/Y Grand Ocean, bringing exceptional technical expertise to luxury yacht operations.

His methodical approach and extensive electrical knowledge ensure the onboard systems of M/Y Amaryllis operate seamlessly, allowing guests to enjoy a safe and uninterrupted charter experience.
