About SABAI

The SABAI is an exquisite 33.8-meter tri-deck charter yacht, built by Cantiere Delle Marche in 2019 and recognized with the prestigious 2019 Boat International Design and Innovation Award. Combining boho-luxe interiors with innovative design, the yacht seamlessly merges comfort and sophistication. Its fluid architectural lines and natural tones create a harmonious environment that blends effortlessly with the surrounding ocean.

The yacht accommodates 10 guests in five luxurious staterooms, including a master suite on the main forward deck and four additional spacious staterooms amidships. The floating glass staircase, a centerpiece of the design, connects the levels with a sense of elegance and airiness.

Guests can indulge in the sundeck's illuminated glass-walled jacuzzi, offering panoramic views and a serene retreat. Surrounding it are plush sunpads and ample leisure space for socializing or relaxing. Adjacent to this area is a covered alfresco dining and bar space, providing shelter from the wind while maintaining a strong connection to the outdoors. The main salon, designed for lounging, flows effortlessly into the open sundeck, while the upper salon features a formal dining area centered around a striking table.

The dedicated crew of six ensures every need is met, while the onboard chef prepares gourmet meals tailored to guests' dietary preferences. Whether seeking laid-back elegance or thrilling water sports, SABAI delivers an unforgettable charter experience.

Crew

Richard Walker

Captain

Richard grew up on the south Devon coast with the sea running through his veins. His father was a commercial fisherman and diver, and weekends were spent sailing dinghies and helping out on the water — that early passion never left him.

After a few years managing top ski resorts in the French Alps, such as Meribel and Tignes, a change in the winds led him back to the sea and into superyachting, where he's been hooked ever since. He spent four incredible years commanding the 73-meter Lunasea, taking her on a full global circumnavigation through the Mediterranean, Pacific, Indonesia, Tahiti, and Fiji. With more than a decade of experience across some of the world's finest yachts, it's those kinds of adventures, sharing them with others, and the stories that come with them, that he loves most about this lifestyle.

When Richard's not on deck, you'll find him diving or sailing. He and his wife Kaylie own a traditional sailing yacht and are planning — one day — to sail her around the world, starting with the Canaries and working their way through the Caribbean and into the Pacific. He's genuinely passionate about exploring the ocean and sharing those adventures with the guests aboard Sabai.

Sean Judkins

Mate

Sean’s pathway into yachting has not been a conventional one. Having spent many years navigating the turbulent waters of secondary schools in three different countries, the lure of a new career was enough for him to trade in the whiteboard and desk for thechamois and the sea. His transition into life on the water has been in part aided by his past involvement in both team and individual sports, with the opportunity to learn new skills and visit exotic destinations making the move a rewarding one. He is lucky to have a hugely supportive family behind him, which has enabled him to continue this new journey. He is starting his third season, with this being his first time in the Caribbean.
